With around 12.5 million visitors a year Berlin ranks as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. From the famous landmark of the Brandenburg Gate, the symbol for the division and unification of Germany, to the Reichstag, the seat of the German government – the city has many interesting sights to offer. With the Highlights Tour on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon you will get the perfect introduction to Berlin’s centre and its most famous landmarks.
Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Potsdamer Platz, which has been completely redeveloped as a new centre since the fall of the Berlin Wall in the 1990s and is now home to several high-rise buildings by international “star-architects”.
Learn more about the glamorous past of the famous boulevard Kurfürstendamm, with its luxurious restaurants, hotels and high-class shops as well as the former gloominess of the nearby Zoo railway station where new high-rise buildings are now radically changing the character of the City West.
Participants will also see the beautiful Bellevue Palace, the official residence of the German President since 1994.
Last but not least the tour stops by the city’s most famous sights: the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, the Reichstag, TV Tower, Museum Island and many more – this tour has it all!
