ICA 2018 on the road: Annual Meeting of the DAV in Berlin

From 26 to 28 April 2017 the last Spring Meeting before the ICA 2018 in the upcoming year took place in the Estrel hotel in Berlin. As part of the meeting, the ICA 2018 was represented with a booth and several other interesting activities.

ICA 2018 – Helping you to face the challenges of the future

Gesichtsalterung_kleinWith regard to the general topic of the Spring Meeting “Demographic change”, the ICA 2018 in cooperation with Debeka offered an exclusive outlook on the personal future. The caricaturist looked far in the future to draw the participants with an age of plus 20, 30 or 40 years. The result – an old personal portrait picture – is a lasting memory to take home.

Music everywhere

This spring meeting was also drawn by music. As part of the General Assembly, the making of video of the debut single “Getting closer” of “Carl Friedrich and the Abnormal Distribution” was shown for the first time. The audience enthusiastically celebrated the music video and the musicians. In the same event, only a couple of minutes later, the second ICA 2018 music group –an a-cappella ensemble – surprised the audience another time. With their flash mob, the singers of the music project “Carl Friedrich and the Harmonic Series” advertised their performance during the evening event on the same day. In the evening event the group performed several German and international classics as well as own compositions. A-Cappella_klein Druck

Following the performance of “Carl Friedrich and the Harmonic Series”, the commitment of the participants was required. Dressed like real rock stars, participants could sing and record their own version of “Getting closer”. There has also been support by the singers of both bands.

And the best – the results were recorded on video and will be used for the music video of “Getting closer”. Watch the next issues of the ICA 2018 newsletter to see many actuaries rocking.

IAA Council and Committee Meetings in Budapest
